Clouds Above and Below

I’m following the mountain route through Ecuador. It’s a lot of up and down, but the benefit is a really comfortable climate. Of course, I’ve had hot sun when it is shining, but as you can see below, there are clouds above and below that help temper the heat. It means a jacket is often coming on and off within a few minutes!

Along the way, I spent some time in Cuenca, famous for it’s street grid and architecture. I was quite taken by the modern tram line that threaded through the historic center and reached into the suburbs. It’s only a few years old.
